Qatar Airways Qsuites Business Class Guide

Qatar Airways Qsuites are soaring to new heights. Renowned as the ultimate business class experience, these luxurious private suites are steadily making their way onto additional Qatar Airways planes, flights, and routes worldwide.

What is Qatar Airways’ Qsuite?

Introduced in 2017, Qatar Airways’ Qsuite presents a generous and exclusive business class seat that embodies the characteristics of a top-tier first-class suite. Its standout feature is a sliding door that effortlessly converts the seat into a lavish sanctuary, allowing you to seamlessly switch between work, leisure, dining, and restful slumber, undisturbed.

That’s only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the Qsuite experience. An extraordinary cabin arrangement ingeniously transforms neighboring middle suites into a spacious double bed, creating a heavenly bedroom in the skies where two Qsuites seamlessly blend into one.

Pushing the boundaries even further, by unlocking the potential of four Qsuites, a captivating ‘family room’ can be formed…

.. Or allow you and your coworkers to work together on a business vacation.

When you consider a “dine on demand” inflight menu, fast WiFi, and Qatar Airways’ onboard service, it’s easy to see why so many business travelers like to reserve the Qsuite whenever they can.

How the Qsuite Experience is Superior to Standard Business Class

The Qsuite provides a well-rounded experience and differs from other business class seats in many ways. Frequent travelers will also value having some service features tailored to their timetables and biological clocks.

Luxury Design

The opulent Qsuites on Qatar Airways showcase attention to detail. High-quality finishes and a sophisticated color scheme, including satin rose-golds, charcoals, slates, and hints of marble-white, are used to decorate the Qsuites and the entire cabin.

Personal space

The wide shelf in every Qsuite, especially the backward-facing window seats, has plenty of room to store your stuff on and underneath.

Additionally, the armrest folds out to create a large pocket where small items can be stored out of the way. (Remember to double-check that you have everything before getting off the plane.)

The foot cubby room has been carefully created to avoid being too small, a typical issue in other current-generation business class seats.

Dine on demand

Qatar Airways provides a completely individualized “dine on demand” service instead of serving meals at set times and frequently on a take-it-or-leave-it basis. Throughout the flight, you are free to order whatever you want from the menu whenever you want.

Business travelers will appreciate this because they can have a light supper in the lounge, a quick snack while traveling, a short nap, and the main course when they wake up.

‘Dine on demand’ has the advantage of being completely flexible. Would you want to nibble on the breakfast mezze platter in the afternoon? Having a steak desire at three in the morning? You have the choice.

An Office Suite in the Sky

Unplugging and relaxing during your flight is wonderful because those few hours represent precious “me time” in our constantly connected world. You can put on the noise-canceling headphones and relax while watching the newest movies or entire seasons of your favorite TV shows on the enormous 21.5″ video screen provided by the Qsuites.

Tragically, there is occasionally work to be done while traveling from A to B. Business travelers will then value the Qsuite’s capacity to transform into a fully connected office suite.

Put your laptop on the spacious tray table, connect to the readily available AC and USB power outlets, and use the blazing-fast inflight WiFi provided by Qatar Airways. The first hour is free in Qsuites, while the rest of the flight costs only US$10.

A wide, fully-flat bed

Each QSuite seat is 21.5 inches wide and reclines to a 79-inch-long, fully lie-flat bed.

When you board, an amenity pack, pillow, and thick duvet will await you at your seat. The staff will return later with The White Company pajamas and slippers. Qatar Airways is a rare airline that sells pajamas (sometimes known as “sleeper suits”) in business class.

After that, all left to do is close your suite’s door, press the Do Not Disturb button to let the crew know to leave you alone and fall asleep.

What does the Qsuite look like?

Each row in the Qsuites alternates between facing forward and backward in a 1-2-1 configuration.

This image displays how the Qsuite appears from the solo window seats. As you can see, the Qsuite behind the passenger faces in the opposite way to her left.

The center part also includes paired Qsuites that face forward and backward. When opened up as “doubles,” you and your spouse can share two of the Qsuites.

While some of the Qsuites’ walls may slide back to create a “quad” for four passengers.

Which planes offer the Qsuite?

The Qsuites can be found exclusively on select aircraft within Qatar Airways’ fleet, specifically the Boeing 777 and Airbus A350. As of the time of writing, the distribution is as follows:

All of Qatar Airways’ Airbus A350-1000s feature the Qsuites, reflecting their status as the newest additions to the fleet.

Approximately 50% of Qatar Airways’ Boeing 777-300ERs are equipped with Qsuites. Qsuites are present in around 80% of the Boeing 777-200LRs operated by Qatar Airways. Roughly 30% of Qatar Airways’ Airbus A350-900s are fitted with Qsuites.

Over time, more of the existing Boeing 777s and Airbus A350-900s will undergo refurbishment to incorporate the new Qsuites in their business class cabins. Additionally, there are plans to introduce a modified version of the Qsuite to Qatar Airways’ Boeing 787 aircraft, as the narrower cabin of the Dreamliner jets cannot accommodate the current Qsuite design.

Does the Qatar Airways Airbus A380 have Qsuites?

The Qsuites are unavailable on Qatar Airways’ Airbus A380s; instead, the superjumbos provide a more traditional open-style business class seat, which we still think is excellent. Since Qatar Airways wants to retire its superjumbos starting in 2024, when they will be roughly ten years old, the A380s won’t be updated with the Qsuites.
